Sprouted bread is such a healthy option for bread. You could call it a superfood!
More like a vegetable bread than a grain bread, this bread is made with alkaline forming sprouts. The sprouting process produces a vitamins B1, B2, B3, E, folic acid, calcium phosphorus, zinc, copper, & iron.
Sprouts, as well as being easily digestible, are a good source of fibre and protein. Gluten content is reduced by approximately 50% during the sprouting process. Phytate, which reduces the absorption of minerals, is also markedly reduced. A high proportion of people allergic to a grain are able to consume the sprout or bread made from it.
Most people find lightly toasting this bread is the most delicious.
Ingredients: Demeter certified bio-dynamic rye sprouted in filtered water.
