Not really a rice, but a long grain marsh grass, native to the Great Lakes Region in North America. Great addition to rice pilaffs, or simply cooked through plain rice to add colour and flavour.

A delicious chewy texture and earthy flavour. We love it in a cold rice salad with spring onions, mint, sultanas, orange zest/juice and walnuts or pecans.
